Prior to joining GFG Capital, Leon worked at Latin America Communications Partners. In this private equity group, he represented Latin America Communications Partners as a member of the Board of various portfolio companies. Prior to Latin America Communications Partners, Leon worked for Deutsche Bank Capital Partners (formerly Bankers Trust Inc.) in the Latin America Private Equity division.
Leon graduated Cum Laude from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science in Finance/Investments and Management Information Systems and a minor in Economics.
Andres takes a leadership role in building, implementing, and overseeing all of the Operations Department systems, processes, workflows, and procedures.
Andres has been in the financial services industry since 2004. Prior to joining GFG Capital in 2013, he completed two internships at BCP Securities and Fierro Group. He also worked at Econoinvest Casa de Bolsa and AV Securities as a Trader co-managing an open-end equity fund document on Latin American oil companies and managed and restructured the company’s $200 million fixed income portfolio.
In addition to his professional experiences, Andres holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in Venezuela, a Master’s in Finance from Intituto de Estudios Superiores de Administracion in Venezuela, and a Master’s in Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
